Dumbo Feather Conversation Series // Chid Liberty

Recently I was lucky enough to be invited into the Dumbo Feather Magazine family as their event photographer. If you haven’t had the pleasure of reading the nourishing goodness that is Dumbo Feather, pick up a copy as soon as possible. Or better yet, subscribe for a year (4 issues) for only $35.

Dumbo Feather, Conversations with Extraordinary People is just that – each issue introduces and picks the brains of 5 diverse and inspiring people. Choreographers, philosophers, painters, activists… passionate people whose dreams and determination are having a direct and powerful impact on their world and those around them. Each interview reads like a cosy chat by the fire with a glass of red wine – which is also how I recommend devouring each issue.

Their latest event was a delightful evening with Chid Liberty, a fair trade activist, entrepreneur and all round amazing person. Held at the White House (Dumbo Feather’s base) in St Kilda and hosted by Small Giants founder Danny Almagor, the night was warm, inviting and fascinating. With luscious food and drinks, floral design by Poppy from Pop & Scott and a room filled with enthusiastic minds, the night was a complete success. Chid had us all entranced with the stories of his journey so far (I I had to remind myself to actually take the pictures), and was so very grateful to his hosts for inviting him to share his vision.

Read the article on Chid and his company Liberty & Justice here.
Congratulations to Tamasein, Jo and the whole team at Dumbo Feather.
